How to Substitute a Jeep Cherokee Fan Hold tight

The mechanized fan in your Jeep Cherokee uses a viscous clutch to support the engine within its standard operating temperature zone. A bent surgery defective fan grip can quickly lead to overheating. Information technology is a good idea to routinely inspect the fan and its clutch, as IT is difficult to detect any harm to the assembly by simply looking at it. With the locomotive off and cold, the fan should freely circumvolve by pass on. With the engine off and igneous, the fan should exhibit both drag when turned away hand.
Stone's throw 1
Open the cowling of your Cherokee. Get rid of the negative battery clamp by using the wrench to turn the clinch egg in a contraclockwise direction. The disinclined closing is asterisked by a " - " symbol on the electric battery case, nearly the clamp.
Step 2
Remove the weather sheet mounting bolts from the top of the shroud by using the wrench to turn them counterclockwise. The hide is the plastic enclosure which surrounds the fan. Pull the winding-sheet up and complete the fan.
Step 3
Place the clutch, which is locked to the back of the fan. Remove the four clutch mounting bolts on the back of the clutch by turning them counterclockwise with the wrench. Remove the fan and clutch assembly from the locomotive engine compartment.
Step 4
Remove the bolts and nuts that attach the rooter to the clutch away turning the bolts counterclockwise with the wrench. These bolts and nuts will constitute reused to climb on the fan onto the new clutch.
Step 5
Place the fan onto the new clutch. Tighten the fan mounting bolts and batty by turning them clockwise with the wring.
Step 6
Reinstall the four clutch climbing bolts by turning them clockwise with the wrench.
Footprint 7
Put off the shroud back into position. Fasten the shroud mounting bolts past turning them in a clockwise direction with the wrench.
Reconnect the destructive shelling clamp aside turning the clamp nut right-handed with the wrench.

Tips
- The get hold of mounting bolts are small and easy to drop when removing. Place a sheet or cloth under the vehicle to make it easier to find born wacky.

- Never work connected or around the fan if the locomotive engine is running.
- Do not allow the fan to inherit impinging with the radiator fins.
